A report on the scheme up to 2018. A pilot scheme to test the effectiveness of results-based payments for maintaining upland grassland condition for two habitats – species rich hay meadows and habitat for breeding waders. There is no single, agreed definition of ‘results-based payments’ but the core of our approach is to reward management on the basis of the results that are achieved, not the methods used.
